Privacy notice
1. Who we are
Pavilion is a residential development by Rams Real Estate Development (“Rams”, “we”, “us”, “our”), whose sales office is in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Rams is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. This notice explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
2. Information you give us
The only personal information this website asks for is what you type into the registration form. That form requests your name and email address, and optionally your telephone number, your country, your city and the property type you are interested in. You choose whether to complete it. You do not need to give us any personal information in order to browse the rest of this site.
If you contact us by email, telephone or a messaging service using the details published here, we will hold whatever information you choose to include in that message.
3. Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records ordinary server logs when a page is requested. These typically include the internet protocol address of the device making the request, the date and time, the address of the page requested, and the browser and operating system reported by that device. We use these records to keep the site available and secure and to investigate faults and abuse.
This website sets no cookies of its own. It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services of any kind, it does not build a profile of you, and it stores nothing on your device.
There are two exceptions, and we would rather tell you about them than have you find them. The first: our enquiry page shows a map of the sales office, and that map is served by Google. When you open that page the map is requested from Google, which means Google receives the internet protocol address of your device and may set its own cookies in your browser. That processing is Google’s and is governed by Google’s own privacy policy, not by this notice. The map is loaded only when it is about to come into view, so opening the page and leaving without scrolling to it reaches Google not at all.
The second: our 360° tour of the development is hosted by Matterport. It is not loaded with the page. Nothing is requested from Matterport unless you press the 360° button to open the tour, and when you do, Matterport receives the internet protocol address of your device and may set its own cookies in your browser. That processing is Matterport’s and is governed by Matterport’s own privacy policy, not by this notice. Closing the tour stops it.
Beyond those two, every page on this site loads nothing from anybody, and links to other websites, including our own social media accounts, request nothing until you choose to follow them.
4. Why we use your information, and on what basis
We use the information you submit through the registration form to respond to your enquiry, to send you the sales material you have asked for, and to contact you about the development. We do this because you have asked us to, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to a person who has approached us about a property.
We use server log information on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website.
We do not use your information for automated decision making, and we do not sell it.
5. Marketing
If you register an interest, we may contact you about Pavilion and about other developments by Rams. You may ask us to stop at any time, by replying to any message we send you or by writing to the address in section 13. We will act on that request promptly and keep a minimal record of it so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is necessary, and only with:
- our own staff and appointed sales agents, so that they can respond to your enquiry;
- service providers who host this website, deliver our email, or provide professional advice, and who act on our instructions;
- a purchaser or successor, if the business or a part of it is transferred; and
- courts, regulators or law enforcement, where we are required to do so by law or where it is necessary in order to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.
7. Where your information is held
This website and our email may be hosted on servers located outside Iraq. Where information is transferred outside the Kurdistan Region of Iraq or Iraq, we take reasonable steps to ensure that it remains subject to appropriate protection and is handled in accordance with this notice.
8. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as we are in contact with you about a possible purchase, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can deal with any question or claim that arises. Where information relates to a completed transaction, we keep it for as long as the law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period and are then discarded or aggregated. When information is no longer needed we delete it or render it anonymous.
9. Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection. We apply organisational and technical measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, and we limit access to it to people who need it in order to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of your information seriously and we will inform you and the appropriate authorities of a breach where we are required to do so.
10. Your rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold information about you, and give you a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete information that we no longer have a reason to keep;
- restrict or object to a particular use, including marketing; and
- provide the information you gave us in a portable form.
Write to the address in section 13 and we will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your information to somebody else.
11. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of eighteen. If you believe that a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the development progresses or as the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where a change is significant we will say so on this page.
